Yes, I have Camp here with me and what an incredible dog he is!!!
I have used him successfully with both the working and show lines, and have been super impressed that both have been improved upon.
His sire, Aly is very well known for his progeny. As with any male, there is going to be controversy what is produced whether it be health or structure problems...therefore we always need to look at the mother line. Aly has produced some very nice working progeny, and as with any breeding, there are always going to be those that just don't measure up to the others.
Camp's mother, Alfa Muhlteich, is now an older lady, but still competes on the FH trials....both locally and regionally...As does his half-sister, Bella Muhteich (who is 9 years old). Alfa has been as consistent in her production as Aly, with numerous V-rated working progeny. Alfa is by Xato v.d. Bosen Narchbarschaft. Xato is very well known for his working progeny.... Alfa is also 1/2 working, 1/2 show... Yet, still quite the dog and the producer!
Camp's pedigree is marked through consistency all the way through. There is much success on both sides...even for having the showlines...hence the structure coming in to play.
Camp's oldest offspring are now about 3 1/2 years old. He was titled at the age of 3 1/2 from BH to SchH 3 in less than 2 months...all with V-rated sores, under the masterful and gifted, Heinz Balonier. Camp was the LGA-14 Sieger, V-109 Bzsz, and SG-13 BSP... He had one of the highest qualifying scores for the pre-BSP in 2001, and then a car accident ended his working career. He attained his FH 1 and FH 2 after the accident, but does have a very noticeable and sometimes very painful limp due to soft tissue and nerve damage in his left hind leg.
Camp throws his consistency in offspring, and the Guide Dog School has a few progeny and likes the stability and hip history. I love his progeny from every female I have seen him bred to here in the USA... He definately stamps his quality, courage, attitude and remarkable *thinking* ability.
Camp is a dog that is commanding in attitude, but is not dog-aggressive. There is an aire that surrounds him and it is quite impressive. He demands respect... He is not a social *kissy, kissy* dog, but, is completely devoted to his family, and would put his life on the line for them. He is not a prey monster, but is very serious and correct in his work and his attitude.
I have been absolutely thrilled to have shared in part of this dog's life. His life has not been an easy one, but it sure is now. I know him on a personal level, and am simply amazed at his entire being and devotion.
