I wouldn't want to accuse any one that honestly earned a bronze star of lying because it takes a brave or dead man to earn one, however it makes it easy to fake one because the military does not publish a list of people that have earned them. I have read about so many people that have faked rank and metals and that just makes me sick! The problem with ripping off Leerburg or Michael Ellis is that they are exceptional trainers and share their knowledge with everyone which opens them up to deceitful, ignorant people. I WILL find out if this man was awarded the bronze metal and if he didn't, not even his momma or God will be able to protect him. My husband sends men home to their families in boxes almost daily and anyone that would disrespect their service and sacrifice makes me want to see that they see the inside of a cell!

Oh My Gosh! This totally explains the Bronze Star! Now I understand disobeying orders always gets you a metal! Phew, I'm so glad I got that straight, now I can sleep. I should totally tell my husband he's doing it all wrong, he should be general within the month now
Wow, why is this getting under my skin? Letting it go now! Still checking on that medal though.
Dayna,
Actually the important part of the Bronze Star is the addition of a "V" device for valor - otherwise a Bronze Star can be given as a "super attaboy" award ( no combat needed ).
Oh, well, I'll be the first to pat him on the back if it's true and I sure hope it is. I just get very emotional because of what is going on over there (Afghanistan) and I think it's all a waste! One man died 9 days before coming home and one died two weeks intomhis tour after marrying his high school sweetheart. It's all just heart breaking. That is just two stories of the many that have just saddens me for their families and their fellow military families loss. I read a book called "Rule Number Two" that put a face on what goes on. I read it in two days locked in my room with about three boxes of tissues. I honor their service, but want them all home. I'll never understand, because I haven't lived it, but I have lived the loss of my husband for the mission and that is nothing compared to what they go through. The subject just hits a nerve.
My husband checked with the Judge Advocate's office and the Vetrans administration does publish a list and I couldn't find his name on the list I found. But to be completely fair to him the list I found hadn't been updated for a few years and I may have not been on the "official list." So, I'm waiting for the correct website and I will share it with you all so you all can help me dig through it. I don't want to accuse someone that earned it, regardless if he did so sitting behind a desk. The fact that he served and went over there is a big deal, although something does kind of stink, knowing he is a thief kind of casts doubt on any other claims this man says and his website is so completely pompous! You would think he invented dog training. Just my opinion
I checked with a Master Gunny in the legal department and couldn't find a record on him and the judge advocates office couldn't find anything on his medal either. Hummmmmm? Makes you wonder. Not done looking I have one more resource. Will let know.
If you think someone is claiming a military decoration they were never awared, you might try reporting that here: http://stolenvalor.com/ click on "report fakes"
Not only is misrepesenting ones military awards and decorations despicable, it can also be a criminal offense.
