I am interested in Shutzand, I want to know, do you offer discounts for
buying two or more dvd's? Also
Is it possible to have a working dog as a pet or house dog? Do you recommend against this? I did the puppy aptitude test on my GSD puppy and he did
exceedingly well I think, I am no expert but tried to use as much impartial
indisgression when judging his responses. I took him to a local shelter for
his shots and to get wormed and he wasnt really bothered by the other dogs,
seemed impartial to most of it. Being that he is a pup he did want to play
with a couple of the ones near to us. He seems to really take
to playing fetch. He's very smart. I also want to know if you dont recommend working dogs as house dogs, what do you recommend as far as my maximizing
his potential. He isnt a show dog, not enough angulation. Are there any
behaviors I should look for to see what he would be good at doing. I just got my GSD silver
sable puppy last month, hes about 11 weeks old. When I register him he will
be "Aramis Von der Silberfuchs" Regardless I still want to learn shutzand.
Do you use the "Raw Diet" on all your dogs? This is how I scored him, I did
this the 2nd day I had him, maybe you can make heads or tails from a trainer point of view. I need suggestions, pointers, I am extremely new so I am learning, Any and all input is appreciated....

Puppy Aptitude test

Please help interpret...
Today I gave Aramis his puppy aptitude test and as I have no real experience
I tried to be as acurate in my scoreing as possible. I performed the test in
my living room in an area approx 10'x14'(approximate is not extremely
accurate but it's a pretty open area)
1. Social attraction: 3
2. Following: 3 He followed readily but was slightly distracted
3. Restraint: 5 at about 25 secs he started getting wrestless (I held him
above the floor about 12")
4. Social Dominance: 4 While I was petting him he remained in position for a
few seconds then tried to bite at my ankle.
5. Elevation Dominance: 3 he struggled the last 3-5 secs
6. Retreiving: 3
7. Touch Sensitivity: 2
8. Sight Sensitivity: 1
9. Structure: Good (I am no expert but he appears to be well built)

I think he did great please tell me your opinions? Thank you!!
Now if only my kids could do as well LOL!!!!!

I would concentrate on socializing, imprinting and some basic OB first. You are getting pretty gung ho there, not to disuade you, but ya gotta crawl before you can walk. Finding some form of local sport dog club would also help. Good luck

The videos "Your Puppy 8 Weeks, etc." and "Basic Obedience" are wonderful starters. JMO.
