Question:
Dear Cindy:
I just got your newsletter and saw that Furminators are on sale this week. My GSD is a German high-line import. Since I want to get his V in conformation, I have to be careful about his coat. People rave about the Furminator but they don't show their dogs in conformation. I'm worried it might damage his coat. What do you think? Would otherwise love to have less dog hair!
Very truly yours,
Jackie
Answer:
In my experience, the furminator only takes out the undercoat that is ready to come out. I don’t think it will damage the coat. I use it weekly (or more often) on our house dogs (GSD, Malinois and Corgi).
Cindy
