This rake is good for longer haired dogs. The rake is a good tool to remove the loose undercoat hair. The pins are nickel-plated. The rake is good for the following breeds: Huskies, Collies, Irish Setters, German Shepherds, Chows, etc.

I wanted to write you to let you know that I received the grooming rake for german shepherds today. I have to admit, I have never used such quality equipment and I am very pleased. It will probably be with me for life. It is great. I used it on my dogs today and I saw colors in their coats that I have never seen before. Every german shepherd owner should own one of these. This is a heavy duty large nail clipper that will last a lifetime. It's the best that money can buy. If you are tired of the old guillotine style clippers that wear out in a year try this one. This is the preferred size for trimming nails of most adult, medium to large breeds. These are the clippers used on our adult dogs at Leerburg Kennels.

Millers Forge created this pet nail clipper with safety bar over 40 years ago. The safety lock protects the cutting edges when not in use and flips open easily when ready for use.

The small nail clipper also comes with an attached safety bar, to aid in cutting your pups nails at a safe length without getting to close to the quick. The safety bar can be pushed aside if not needed.

We prefer the smaller sized nail clippers for our German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois puppies here at Leerburg Kennels. They are just as strong and sturdy as the larger nail clipper from Millers Forge, but much less bulky making it easier to trim the tiny nails of a squirming pup.
