Grain Free, High Protein, Low Carbohydrate dry dog food for performance dogs.
We are raw feeders and promote raw feeding for dogs and cats, but the reality is that not everyone can feed their pets a raw diet. With help from some of our nutritional consultants, we sorted through the vast variety of commercial products available and narrowed it down to products we felt comfortable feeding our own dogs and cats.
Our criterion was as follows, human grade quality ingredients and no grains. Barking at the Moon Dog Food met all of our criteria and was one of the top grain free kibbles on Whole Dog Journals “best” list.
Many of our fellow dog breeders feed Barking at the Moon to their breeding and working dogs in conjunction with a raw diet with excellent results.
This product is not labeled for growing puppies and is recommended for feeding to dogs over one year of age. I have also gotten feedback that this food is quite rich and concentrated and that feeding the amounts listed on the bag can cause loose stools. I would carefully monitor your dog’s intake and adjust gradually according to weight and activity level, as opposed to feeding the amount recommended on the bag.
