2 Day Mondio Ring Trial to Follow Seminar
Saturday, June 26th and Sunday, June 27th
Join us for a 4 day training weekend of training and fun in
Menomonie, Wisconsin!

This seminar is being sponsored by Ed Frawley and Cindy
Rhodes from Leerburg Enterprises, Inc.
Location:
Leerburg - Menomonie,
Wisconsin. Menomonie is located 40 miles from the Minnesota border and 1
hour from
the Minneapolis / St. Paul Airport.
About Michael Ellis:
"A highly sought after teacher for the protection sports and working dog venues, Michael is widely recognized for his motivational methods and clear teaching style in both obedience and protection. He is renowned for young dog development and teaching a balanced approach to all working dog disciplines.
Emphasizing the benefits of cross-training, especially in the early stages of a pup's life, Michael has taught many dog/handler teams the beauty and functionality of a well-rounded training program and the importance it has in a single specific sport or multiple sports... not to mention the everyday "off-the-training-field" perks.
Michael has coached dog/handler teams in Schutzhund, the Ring Sports and Service Work. With his knowledge and encouragement, many of his students have enjoyed great success in their chosen sport while other have pushed their boundaries and earned titles in multiple protection sports.
While Michael's chosen sport for his personal competition dogs is Mondio Ring, he stays abreast of all the major protection sports and can often be found attending the National Championships, as well as select regional and local events. Michael's competitive career has included French Ring, Mondio Ring and Schutzhund."
Learn more about Michael and his philosophy at the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers.
Michael also breeds working Malinois. To see his dogs, visit "Loups du Soleil."

Pre-registration and pre-payment is required. Walk on
reservations are discouraged. We simply do not have the time to be collecting
money and dealing with reservations during the seminar. If someone is
pre-registered and wants to extend to additional days they can do this
without a problem.
Payment will be made through the Leerburg office manager, Stephanie. To contact Stephanie:
1. E-mail: book@leerburg.com
2. Phone: 715.235.6502 (Monday -
Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Central Time)
3. Fax: 715.235.8868
Cancellations:
It is very expensive and time consuming to put these
seminars on. For this reason we will not refund money or accept any
cancellations for any reasons after May 15th.
If you cancel your registration before the cancellation deadline, and do
not attend the seminar, you will not be refunded the entire cost. We
will retain
your full $125.00 deposit.
Thank you for your understanding.
Attending with Dogs:
Everyone who comes can bring their dog, but only those with PREPAID working spots will be allowed to have their dog on the field and work their dog.
If there is time and room a person can work more than
one dog but only after everyone else has worked their dog. My advice is
to not bring two dogs.
*Handlers are limited to working ONE dog per day. You
must pre-register your dog(s) prior to the deadline.
Working attendees will get one obedience and one protection session with Michael each day (or two obedience sessions if you do not wish to do protection).
If working spots are not full prior to the seminar, handlers will be given the option to work a 2nd dog for a fee. Likewise, spectators will have the option to upgrade to a working spot for a fee.
Many people have commented that they get more out of
these seminars by leaving their dog at home and watching other people
work and handle their dogs. I tend to agree with them.
I reserve the right to refuse working any DOG. This may
happen if I feel the dog is dangerous and the owner is not a safe handler.
Photography:
Taking of still photographs during the seminar is allowed. You should obtain permission to photograph someone else or their dog.
Video taping is only allowed for PERSONAL USE of your OWN dog(s).
The Weather:
This is Wisconsin (God's Country - you will see). The
weather should be ideal but could be rainy or quite hot. Come prepared
with rain gear, and sun shade for your dog.
Should the weather turn bad we will have the lectures
indoors but we will still work dogs outside.

Questions & Answers:
Question:
I have a spouse that is not into dogs. Would it be OK
if they came and watched without paying? They have no real interest in
dogs.
Answer:
I am sorry but no one comes for nothing. Kids under
age 16 can come for 1/2 price. If I allowed this to happen at a seminar
with 40 people we could easily end up having a seminar with 70 or 80
people
sitting around and half of those would be talking because they are not
interested in dog training.
I guess I compare this to asking to take
a spouse to a football game for free just because he or she does not
like football.
Question:
Is there indoor shelter?
ANSWER:
No, but we will have a large tent available for some sun and rain protection.
Question:
Will there be food and beverage available on the grounds?
ANSWER:
Water, coffee, soda and snacks will be available at no charge.
A list of local resteraunts and fast food places will be available.
Question:
What should I pack and bring to the seminar with me?
Answer:
- Rain Gear
- Umbrella
- Hat (for sun & rain)
- Folding Chair
- Sunscreen
- Tarp to make shade for your dog
- Notebook & writing utensil
- Snacks
Question:
What time does the seminar start and end?
Answer:
It starts at 9:00 AM and ends at approximately
5:00 PM on Thursday and 4:00 PM on Friday.
