I have to order backs in bulk supply, and I don't have a deep freeze yet.
But I could do fryers.
I'm going to attempt 4x a day feedings, and see if that helps. I don't know if I'll be able to saw the bones in half with the knives I have right now for tomorrow. If not then I will get approriate utensils.
Gotcha on the backs.
1/4er's are easy to separate at the joint in between the drumstick and the thigh.
If you do ever need to cut the bone, a whack with a sharp knife will break it in a hit or two.
For God's sake, don't hit your fingers. Been there, and made sure to get them out of the way the next time.

Say I need to feed ~1.5lbs a day. That's what I'm doing. Could he possibly be getting too much at one meal and that be the reason for loose stools? And the reason for increase numbered of smaller feedings per day? And if some one has already said this I apologize it's took so long for it to sink in.
Yup. You're on the right track here. I suspect your 4 time a day idea, or at least 3 is going to help a lot.

Diarrhea can often be the result of overfeeding- not just overall, but too much per meal. Spreading the feedings out over three, or even four, may fix the problem if nothing else is working.

Was there a change between 3 and 2 meals? This would not be a change I would make while trying to get perfect poops, because yes, it's the overfeeding PER MEAL that triggers diarrhea, not just excess calories in general.

Yes. That is the reason for the smaller-meals suggestions.
Wait 'til next Wednesday. If he has been consistantly firm between now and then, with only the diet you fed yesterday and today, THEN you can add small bits of liver.

For everyone else, Ike has been itching and biting himself sporadically like crazy. His paws and ears both look normal. It's like he's biting fleas, using only his front teeth. He hasn't done this very much in the past two days though. In Natural Nutrition for Cats and Dogs by Kymythy Schultze she talks about going through a detox phase. Could he possibly be going through that?

Is your puppy still itching and biting?
He is very rarely. No where near what it was like. He's only very occasionally doing it now.
