I have had this vest for several years. It has held up well during 4-season use. It has a slight tear probably because it got caught on something, but there has been no impact on its functioality,

I’m back for more! My Service Dog is an active GSD and is in and out of water in the Missouri and Minnesota lakes where we travel. She’s not a can of beinv overheated and this vest is the perfect solution to keep her ready to help meno matter what conditions we face. She can wear it 100percent of the time and it doesn’t overheat her double coat. It’s the best solution and I’m so happy for both of us. The patches have helped identify her and the public easily can read them. Thank you.

This is a beautiful vest and I would happily give it five stars, but the velcro does not stay adhered. I've used a small comb numerous times to clean the velcro, but it keeps coming undone. This started when the vest was relatively new so there's no reason the velcro should be worn out. I've used another brand of cape for many years and the velcro is still holding strong but overall vest not as nice as this one. I'm contemplating having someone replace the velcro on the Leerburg vest. Very disappointed.

A few years ago I sent you a photo of my SAR K9, Gusto, wearing your mesh vest on a Civil Air Patrol plane.

Here are a few more photos, taken last year (on 9/11/10) when we were called to search for the remains of victims of the San Bruno CA gas pipeline explosion that destroyed a neighborhood and took several lives.

Gusto is still working in that vest. One photo, where he is in a "down" (his trained HRD alert), shows the location of a victim who made it only to the front door before her home collapsed. Very sad, very fast moving fire, no chance for those closest to the pipeline to escape. I am very proud of Gusto and the other K9s for their part in providing closure for the families of the victims.
Gusto is now 7, still a great dog, and I'm very, very proud of him.

He lives with another shepherd in training for SAR and a 7 pound mixed breed dog who decided we were the only family that she was willing to live with.

Your mesh vest that Ed recommended is PERFECT. She is in the water all of the time searching and it does not have an effect on her at all. In fact, she gets excited when the vest comes out and knows the fun is about to start. I am very impressed with the quality of it. Even the little light is water proof as I have not had a problem with it. It tracks well and wears well. In a nut shell, please keep up the great job with mentoring and providing quality products for my partners because Bandit and I both appreciate it.

I just received the mesh vest I ordered from you, and it is fantastic. I was worried it would be a cheaply made scrap of nothing. I was pleasantly surprised, it is extremely well made, and a perfectly fitting vest for my working dog. I am tired of people approaching us to PET my doberman bitch. This vest with the "Working dog -DO NOT TOUCH" actually stops SOME people. I should say MOST people. But, we all have met those people that no matter what you say, will declare that ALL dogs LOVE them, and your dog won't mind... Where do these people come from??? When I say NO YOU CAN'T TOUCH HER, they used to ignore me. I have had to resort to the 'NO she bites,' or even "NO she has a contagious skin condition." That usually works. Since we got this vest already I have seen a difference on our first walk. They are leaving us alone... Thank you. This vest is light and airy so she doesn't overheat, and again so well made and strong It is incredible. The fit is perfect it does not bind or rub anywhere, she acts like it isn't even there. She can run, jump, and like your last reviewer said she actually is sleeping in it right now as I write this review.
