Product Description
These leather collars are made of the finest quality latigo leather and are handmade by the Amish. The stitching is all reinforced. These collars are built to last a lifetime. We love to use this type of collar for off-leash protection training. Your leash can come off and you can still securely hold your dog before releasing them. We have also found that we like this collar with handle for Agitation work and also for Search & Rescue. The standup handles are tough and durable and the collar fastens with a heavy duty buckle.

MADE IN THE USA
Leerburg leather products are works of art.
The cow hides used to make all of Leerburg's leather are hand selected for Leerburg before tanning. We need and use the thickest hides available. Our hides go through over 85 steps in a tanning process that takes over a month. There are many types of Latigo leather that are made in Mexico, India, or Pakistan, but none can compare to the quality of Leerburg’s Latigo leather.
Once tanned, our Leerburg Leather is delivered to the Amish family that crafts our leather products right here in Wisconsin. Our 4 Amish craftsmen have been making Leerburg leather products since 1990.
These 5 Amish craftsmen hand cut, sew, pop-rivet, and tailor all of our leather products. We have yet to come across another leather product that measures up to our products' quality.
100% of Leerburg leather products are made in Wisconsin. We don't use leather from India, Pakistan, or Mexico.

Write a ReviewMy boy is 125lbs. with a 24” neck. the handle makes for easy/close control.
Very satisfied with my purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.
If it was available in “Small”, 12”-18”, I’d buy another one for my smaller dog.
* Maybe I'll upload a short video or a few photos soon while using collar over Independence Day.

I'm glad I went with Leerburg - the other ones I was considering were well made, but they were more like vanity leather collars - fancy colors and stones with their names and such. Although they were pretty, I honestly have to say that I like these better and I made the right decision. These collars will survive both dogs and will go on to the next generation and probably the ones after that - so I'll have to put them in my will!
The only thing I have to do is get them just a tiny bit shortened, as the end of the collar flops out a bit too much on both dogs. But I expected having to do that, especially with the Redtick because his neck is very long (he is gangly) and he is still kind of skinny. Getting them trimmed is no big deal at all, I know a shoe guy who is local. These collars are SO worth getting! You will not regret it.
And the service is great - after a different dog co. I tried but after 6 dasy they took my money and my stuff NEVER left their warehouse... Took a week to credit my card after I cancelled for there.
Thanks Leerburg for being an Honorable on-line store for people who care for pets with a passion.
