Very nice quality harness. The way it buckles is different from any harness I've used before, and it takes a little getting used to. I suggest playing with it a little before you try to use it on your actual dog. But once you've figured it out, it's a much quicker system for putting on and taking of the harness. I wouldn't suggest using this harness for regular walks because the breastplate part is so large and thick. However, it is PERFECT for securing a dog to a seat belt. Good for general safety, and also keeps dogs who like to wander around your car in place. Just make sure you adjust everything so it's snug but still comfortable for your pup. I have two and use them for transporting my (pet) coonhounds to and from activities.

Solo, my Akita mix is constantly going from one window to the other in the back seat of my car every time she gets into it. I don't have a large vehicle that can fit a crate so Solo has to ride in the back seat. I've tried other seat belt systems but they were difficult to get on the dog, and by the time I did get them on, I was so stressed out that I was tempted to leave the dog home. The Kurgo is the easiest to get on, and it keeps her securely in one seat. Thanks for making "car rides" as much fun for me as they are for Solo!

I just purchased one of these for my German Shepherd to secure him during a trip from California to Nebraska and back. The concept is great but 1 day into the trip he chewed the strap that connects the harness to the seat belt half way through and on the 2nd day chewed one of the harness straps that connects around the dog all the way through. I think it would work very well on a none chewer.
