Leerburg's 12 Inch Bite Tug is made of dog-safe fabric and non-toxic stuffing. With carefully stitched edges, we pride ourselves in creating a quality durable tug made out of your choice of French Linen or Jute which are used specifically for bitework training. With our soft handles, you can comfortably grip the tug compared to the rough texture of the average nylon handles.

Order our tug with either 1 Handle or 2 Handles. You can also choose from two different material options: French Linen or Soft Jute. Both of these materials are commonly used for bitework training. This Leerburg Bite Tug is 12" long and 7.75" around with 6.5" handles.

Tugs Are Not Chew Toys

This is a photo of a tug that was left unattended with a young dog (6 to 8 months) for about 20 minutes. Tugs are not chew toys and should never be left with dogs alone. When tugs are used correctly, they last for a very long time. When they are left unattended with a dog they may only last minutes.

I agree with earlier assessments, particulary where the Leerburg tug was compared to Sport Klin. Better handles and better durability come from Leerburg model. Would also go through several Klins in the time my three mals shred a single Leerburg.

Just got this tug appears to be of excellent quality double sticking etc. My GSD took right to it. This product is superior, in my opinion than other tugs, because Leerburg invested in a more comfortable handle, which might sound minor. However, when you have a 90lb GSD that is all muscle you really appreciate the added comfort!

I've three Mals and would typically go through a Sport Klin bite tug every couple months (if not quicker). The hand straps on the Leerburg model are much more comfortable to grip and after four months, this model is still going strong. By nature, any tug takes quite a beating and must take it to be an effective training device. This Leerburg model has been a welcome tool.
