Product Description

Do you have one or two dogs with a mild temperament that needs basic obedience training and behavior management? Our small, yet powerful iQ Plus e-collar, by iQ Pet, is a terrific choice for your dog’s training needs. Combined with many features found in full sized remote trainers, but built for dogs 10 pounds and up, the iQ Plus is an expandable remote dog training tool that lets you train up to two dogs simultaneously.

The iQ Plus e-collar has training modes in nick, constant, and our patented non-stimulating Pager Vibration, much like the vibrate feature on cell phones. The iQ Plus outputs a Low-Mid stimulation output from 1-100 levels, using our patented front facing Rheostat Intensity Dial for gradual and precise control. A 400-yard range provides consistent communication with a waterproof receiver/collar. The iQ Plus is the tool that many professionals trust when shaping basic obedience in companion dogs.

Sometimes it surprises me that I have charged this Dogtra IQ nearly every day (easily 5 times a week) with the original power supply. I have NEVER replaced a power supply (battery or capacitor that is in the transmitter or receiver). Mine has never been in very harsh cold, but my Ridgeback used to love to retrieve in a college campus pond/lake and it never leaked at all.

Nick (instantaneous stim), continuous stim and vibrate are the 3 functions. I find that vibrate is very useful to pair with an unwanted behavior and no words are needed. Grass nibbling, or 'snooping' are 'vibrated' and generally one or two trials will eliminate that behavior. 'snooping' includes going to the fence as the neighbor dogs are making noise and starting to fence fight... and my dogs have learned to walk away from that with a few simple vibrations...
For my dogs (APBT types about 50-65 lbs), I have never gone above 50-60 on the intensity. Working level is about 25-40 among 3 dogs on different days.

I have another excellent e-collar from a different top brand and never used it... it is larger and a bit more complex to use. And I do not need that. With access to vids by Michael Ellis at Leerburg and 6-7 top rehabbers of 'troubled' dogs in YouTube, you can learn what to do and why quickly. A qualified and skilled handler is a best bet for most folks. I took 3 dogs through CGC certification and handled dozens in rescue and shelter environments, so I am not a typical dog owner.

LOVE this collar for my Malinois!! I love the transmitter as it is small and fits well in my hand. My dog is on the small side and the receiver is not bulky on her at all. I have no complaints about this collar, and tell all my friends about it!
