This leather basket weave muzzle is suitable for muzzle/civil training as well as deployment. The basket weave allows more airflow, keeping your K9 cooler and allowing them to search more effectively. The leather is riveted throughout the muzzle, and it has a twist top strap, rather than a buckle, for easy adjustment. There is also a clasp on the back strap/neck strap which makes for quick on and off once the muzzle is properly fitted to your K9. Excellent padding in the top of the muzzle protects the top of the K9's nose and eyes during muzzled training or deployments. The front of the muzzle has a leather-covered metal insert for additional protection during work.

This handmade leather basket muzzle is absolutely top quality and finely handcrafted.

Do not use leather conditioner on leather muzzles.

Sizing Tips & Chart

There are a few things you need to know about sizing a muzzle for your dog:

• Measure your dog from the tip of the nose to the base of the skull behind the ears

Unlike our wire basket style muzzles, our leather basket muzzles only come in three sizes (small, medium and large). The small size is designed to fit a female Malinois or male dog with a smaller head. Most normal German Shepherds or male Malinois will wear a medium or large. Please refer to the measurements in the Sizing Chart for accurate fit. For Rottweilers and Bully breeds, we recommend Leerburg's Heavy Duty Police Fighting Muzzle as it has more adjustable points and wider cheek width sizes.
