Product Description

This is the best cold-weather dog training vest on the market. It's built for people who train their dogs outside when others choose to stay indoors.

This training vest was designed by Ed Frawley. After training dogs for over 60 years in Wisconsin's cold fall and winter climate, Ed knows what a dog trainer needs to stay warm and still have access to the tools needed to train dogs.

He designed an insulated vest that has a zip-off insulated hood. The vest comes with seven pockets, 4 of them have zippers. Ed preferred zippers and not Velcro. Two of those front zipper pockets are deep enough to securely hold his iPhone 16 Pro Max and car keys.

Our pockets also have large openings. The design of the 2 large front pockets and the 24-inch long rear pocket have large openings that are big enough to get hands in to grab rewards quickly. Too many vests on the market are designed for people with small hands. In Ed's opinion, that's a serious design flaw.

Leerburg sells several models of lightweight summer training vests that come just below the waist. This cold weather vest should come down to the middle of the front and rear pants pockets to keep out cold winds and to keep warm body heat in during those cold, brisk, and windy days.

People who train dogs in cold weather always wear a hat. There are times when a stocking hat and a hood just work better. The hoods on our vest zip on and off when needed. Some trainers may never need or like a hood. Not a problem. Simply zip it off and store it.
