Product Description

The Synthetic Thin Puppy Tug is great for puppies and adult dogs. Shorter tugs like this are excellent training aids for drive building and can be used throughout a dog's life. These tugs were made with synthetic fabric—the same material used for bite suits—and was made to last without damaging your dog's teeth.

This one-handled tug measures at 8" long and 5.5" in circumference.

Building Drive

Drive building in adult dogs is always done with the smallest tug. Simply move the tug around your legs and body at a speed that your dog cannot get at. These short quick movements will force your dog to move quickly in order to catch it. When your dog misses, it builds frustration which builds drive.

Tugs Are Not Chew Toys

This is a photo of a tug that was left unattended with a young dog (6 to 8 months) for about 20 minutes. Tugs are not chew toys and should never be left with dogs alone. When tugs are used correctly, they last for a very long time. When they are left unattended with a dog they may only last minutes.

Quality materials and construction. I am using this small tug as a reward tug for my full-size GSD K-9 partner. It fits easily in many of my uniform pockets and does not interfere with any of my gear. I have big hands so I would like to see a slightly longer handle as it can be a little difficult to grip tightly with gloves on. It's holding up well to my full-size K-9 so it should also hold up well to a puppy as a tug.

My dog goes crazy for this! Ever since the first time I got it out he chases it, bites it, pulls on it, and continuously wants to play with it at 8 weeks old!
