Here's the thread where the contestants will post their marker-training contest entries (a video clip accompanied by a reminder of what the training goal was).
This isn't a thread for suggestions and progress. Those go here http://leerburg.com/webboard/thread.php?topic_id=33562&page=1 or in any new thread you may start.
This is for the actual final entries, to be posted by midnight Sunday (your time).
I'm so excited to see them! I know from PMs and emails that a lot of people are!

Here's mine!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3yUh2Qw18U&feature=youtu.be
The angle isn't the greatest in my final "between my legs" session (the joys of taking video of yourself...) so I added in a clip at the end of a session from a couple days ago so you can better see the whole picture
my training goal -
"Training goal - to get Kenzi to target my feet with her feet and walk in tandem with me (her feet on my feet)
Targeting with front feet is entirely new to her as is targeting two objects at once (both my feet)

My training goal was and still is to marker train cool tricks for a parkour video- in the process teaching directional send out and remote "on-by" distractions. While I am well on my way, I simply didn't have the time to train as much as I'd like to, nor did I get a chance to film everything I've done- but I figured I'd throw this out there if nothing else to make myself see where I'm making mistakes and where I can improve timing, etc.
I do like to see good engagement overall, that is super, but I would like more "remote control" as it were- in general while trail running- and not just for tricks or trial field stuff.
So- here's a basic video of "jump on this and go through that" marker training. This is towards hand/voice signals for search work and just every day stuff. This training even carries over to skijor (on by the other dog etc.) and I really hope we can get there this winter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5K6kzcrurdA
The second video is more "focused" training for leg weaves. I need to figure out- myself- how to do the leg weave but she's got through and back pretty well down. I need to fade out the lure- in the video I used a frisbee we found at the park which is quite hard plastic and has a horrible flight path, but she was quite keen on it so it worked.
This one is the entry:

I think I have a hard time with "finishing" a training concept- that is training a reliable and longer duration command (heel, on-by) without relying on reminders in the form of treats, toys, voice prompts etc. I am also having a hard time with accepting the fact that I probably need to start using corrections for the "out". I trained and trained that positively, and we were good until a few months ago, but with maturity- or maybe my fault somewhere along the way- the outs have become really really sloppy.
It is a stretch to call any of this "parkour" yet... but we are working toward that goal.

Edit reason: clarified which clip is the entry

The goal was to train six weave poles and the jump. Until the first jump session she had never even seen agility equipment.
Below are links to several training sessions.
first jump session
second jump session
first weave session
second weave session
four weave poles
It is obvious she is in NO WAY solid or fast on the weaves. She loves the jump, and offers it just for the fun of it. I have huge respect for the agility folks! This is really tough stuff. I bit off more than I could chew, but at least she understands what she is being asked to do. Mostly, we are having fun in the backyard.
Thank you Connie for the opportunity to expand our horizons, and bond with our dogs. If you ever offer this contest again....count us in!! We will continue with our "agility" training, even though we have no plans to compete (obviously )
Below is the final product:

Here's mine, I had to wait until tonight for the rain to slack off enough to film it...it was still raining, mostly mist, so the clip is very short. I had to use my phone because it was so dark. He actually paced about 15 seconds before offering a sit, then I started filming and told him to stay.
PROBLEM: kennel anxiety freakout, hard to get out of his run.
Rx: First I marked him for going in and sitting, then gradually added shutting the door. Then after that was well established, I began going to let him out but waiting until he stopped going nuts, marked it until he got that. After that I would wait longer until he offered a sit....viola.
