| Pets: | Raven is a year old GSD, heeler border collie mix (best guess). He is a high drive bidable intelligent pup. He is soft and submissive but not a total whimp. The biggest challenge in training so far is his dependance on me keeps him from focusing on the task. But when pulling in harness he does great. He can be very stubborn at times. RIP Logan 2005-2019 Logan was my crazy rescued Dutch Shepherd, best friend, handsome and fearless bodyguard. He was the most difficult dog I have ever dealt with, he made me a far better handler than before. He was the best dog ever and I miss him so much. RIP Ali 2003-2005 Logan's sister from a previous litter. She was a mess, mistreated and defensively aggressive. I was rehabilitating her to make her relatively safe around people but sadly she was killed by an irresponsible veterinarian. RIP Ten 2001-2002 She was a GSD puppy I was assigned to handle for schutzhund, I didn't own her. A descendant of 2 Leerburg dogs, very nice temperament. The breeder was extremely irresponsible and didn't have her treated for hypertrophic osteodystrophy. I was very young and naive at the time and thought she was a dwarf like he told me. She became severally lame and behind my back he put her to sleep, I quit working for him that day but later went back and rescued several of his emaciated dogs. RIP Sport 1994-2005 My first dog, she was a Chow/English Setter cross. Very shy and sweet. My first challenge to train because of her fearful behavior. She went on to compete in agility and always got 1st or 2nd place, she was my agility star. She was also great in obedience as well (never trialed). I had to retire her at age 9 due to hip dysplasia. |
