Ian, Unfortunately its not my property. And these are my wife's relatives, SO, they have the right of way. The only thing I can do is yell and scream at certain people when they try to defend the way these animals are being treated. This means, my wife and mother in law are always the subjects of my disagreements because they rest of them are just...dumb.
The kid has a history, I call it..too many cartoons and television and not enough parenting. His mother just got a divorce, moved on to someone else. he was hanging with my wife and my children for field trips on weekends. We were taking my children home and i guess he got angry he couldn't go, kicked the cat (my wife's excuse), I know it goes further and child services had been called a long time ago when his mom was with the ex, so the little town knows their names..of course I come into the family and find out about all this drama. it's a mess and I truly am ready to move on, with or without my wife because her mentality is very lazy and seems to mirror the others, until i give her a hour long speech on WHY it's wrong to neglect any animal. I swear, I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick a football.
Kristin, we just had one cat give birth to four kittens and another gave birth a few days ago. I have repeated told my wife that those cat's need to be clipped and nipped. NO ONE cares. My wife is more concerned with taking pictures of them while they are small (a 33 year old woman),it's odd to me...i feel like I am in the twilight zone. I mean, luckily the last batch, the ones that survived were all boys. but there are two females that are breeding. you'd think by now they would do something...nope.
yes, buying a 35lb back of cat food every week is getting old, though I don't pay for it, it's just wasted money. I am starting to get the irritation itch when I hear..."but they are so cute."
We reside within a small town, Richmond, Utah. Small and Mormon (no I am not Mormon). If you say something to the school about the child, they aren't professional, it would be like Miss Olsen from little house, eavesdropping on the phone. It would spread like wildfire and that wouldn't help the child. He is a good kid, just growing up within a uneducated, "WE KNOW IT ALL," family. I truly grieve for him. Though the teachers are suppose to report such things mandatory, they will report it to the church first and take it from there.. It's a sham
Thanks Betty. you are correct. lol. I am a Clinical Massage Therapist to humans and Horses, I can basically Massage anything but Horses are close to my heart. I find the intuitive feeling in all animals and it just hurts when I see this ignorance.
The Dog was running, she was happy because she was let loose after being chained up for ever, When I say forever, These dogs don't get proper exercise unless I let them off and take them down to the creek. She was excited, ran up to my Brother in law and jumped on him, leaving a muddy paw print on his pants. He was at the farm cleaning and getting dirty anyhow, but he got mad and kicked her with his Ranch working boots. THIS dog is a pretty good animal and I was shocked to see him do this, but not surprised. I wanted to kick him in his face, the owner of the dog, a nephew just stood there and say not one word. That's like kicking my kid, that would never be tolerated with my animals.
Baseball bat has come to mind for man of the in laws, fortunately over the years (45) I have tried to keep the status of pacifist. lol. sometimes though..that green guys wants to come out of me. lol. There is no support so it is what it is. When we (or I) move, I would like to negotiate on taking one of the dogs and a horse. Chances are rare, but who knows.
I am grateful for the forum. I truly believe in the things Ed speaks of in his videos and I look forward to learning, absorbing and putting into action the lessons shown in dvds to purchase. Thank you all for your comments. I feel so much better, knowing I am not over exaggerating the situation.
