I got another email from there last night.......wonder if they read this forum. It sounds kinda snotty.....
"Could you be so kind as to RSVP, maybe a different dog is in order, or you need a
price check? If you don't reply, I can't help you. I am very busy too, there are other
people that have sent deposits, and others that have been on my waiting list for a year.
I am sorry if I seemed short with you, but at the moment I was very very busy and I wanted
to give you a responsive reply."
Why, if they have other customers wanting dogs before me, do I have first choice?????? Crazy....................

I would wager they might have stumbled across the forum.
A lot of breeders and kennels regularly Google their own name to see what feedback they are getting out there.
All I can say to that is, good. Holistica should know that not everyone falls for their BS.
One of the things that really drew me to my breeder was her candor and willingness to answer all of my questions, help me find the right litter and the right pup for me.
I contacted my breeder well before I was ready for a dog. In the end, she and I exchanged emails and phone calls, and I visited her kennel several times over the period of almost 6 years before everything came together. Never once was she too busy to be a good businesswoman and answer my questions.
Sure, at times she had to call me back the next day, or my email went unanswered for a day or two, but in the end, she always responded and I always got the answers I needed.
If a breeder isn't willing to actively communicate with you and keep you informed when they are still trying to MAKE a sale, how unavailable do you think they'll be once they've received their money and sent the pup on it's merry way?
Maybe it's just my personal preference, but I want a relationship with my breeder. I'm out there training and working one of her pups, bringing them into adulthood, busting my butt to get the dog titled. In the end, that all reflects well on her breeding program. In return, I like being able to drop her a quick email to ask silly questions or just update her on the status of the dog. A good breeder realizes that both parties (breeder and new owner) have a vested interest in the success of the dog.
My breeder will actually email or call me to ask how Jenna and Heida are doing if she hasn't heard from me in awhile. She has always been interested to hear how her pups are doing and always more than willing to answer any questions. Often, I'll have a response in minutes, unless she is out of town or out training.
She has never brushed me off saying she was too busy and implied that I had better hurry up and make up my mind or leave her alone.
