Thank you to everyone who has responded. This is what i needed, enough CONSTRUCTIVE argument, links to read, to begin to formulate a plan, something to take to the vet and discuss, argue further.
So, here is todays update: Freya had her very first vet visit, she is in perfect health aside from a couple oocysts of hookworm, treated and on her way to health. She is in fact in heat, drops of blood so no preganacy. Blood test fine, skeletally, great shape, eyes, ears fine, no fleas or ticks. She was perfectly quiet, well behaved there. For any of you who have read my post in the multiple dog household forum section, you will understand why i mention that, she has had no structure in her life aside from running loose or in a kennel an acre from the previous "owners" house. She was fine in her harness/seat belt in the car. We never let her feet touch the ground while there. We did not allow her to see another animal, made sure we were first in the morning, tried to limit her stress level. No shaking, no stress yawns, not a peep.
Then the vaccine conversation came about. My vet and i do not see eye to eye on preventive medicine, that said, i in no way think that i know it all or even a lot. I do read, make my decisions the best i can, not perfect. I consider her (vet) a friend and she is a good enough person to discuss medicine with her via email a couple times a week. She went to MSU, still is fairly traditional. The rabies vaccine will be first but i will wait for Freya to finish her cycle, recover from hookworms, settle in here, so a few weeks from now. We will then wait, consider strongly getting jabs for parvo and distemper, seperately. I still have time to consider this of course. She was not happy about the lepto thing but i don't see it as a life threatening deal, i am with my dogs all the time and know symptoms, it is easily treated (early detection) anyway.
I liked very much the two links Connie posted:

If you did not get a chance to read them, please do yourself a favour and do so. It is a calm, rational piece of reading.
The articles pretty much follow an "if this, then that" flow, that we all want the best for our animals and all we can do is arm ourselves with knowledge and do what we think is correct for our situation. For instance, the galic conversation sort of side tracked this vaccine discussiion for a moment. Some are for, some against. That's perfectly fine. From experience, some have used garlic and seen no deliterious effects, others read about the alleged negatives and prefer to stay away from it and they also have healthy animals. To each his own, i'd prefer to not argue it i suppose. i am seeing what i feel are great results from my feeding plan, which is daily rotation of food that includes a day of fasting, raw meat with bones, raw meaty bones, variety of blended veggies, carrots to munch on, yoghurt, raw eggs, and yes, even kibble! I use much more variety than i just listed of course but on another post i was strongly advised against using raw and kibble. i disagree but i certainly will not tell that person to change what he or she is doing for the great health of their animals. It just happened that their experience was a nasty bout of colitis doing what i do. That sucks. I have a Shiloh Shepherd with the worst gentics, bloat, torsion, no spleen and i just fed raw, nearly the same program that Ed and Cindy use. Was that the fault of the diet? I hardly think so. I never changed his diet either. He is nine now and acts more like a puppy than he did whe he was, well, a puppy! I use kibble because i am in wheelchair and have no transportation convenient to me at all times. It is easier to have a friend pick up a bag of food rather than me to tell them to selectively shop for the meats and bones i want, best price per pound, etc. When i am out, fine, i can select the best. I use Wysong Epigen --no starch and other Wysong products and speak online regularly with his group as he is in my state. I do not refuse to use his products because he sells them and has a great advertising campaign. I trust him and the research,(some of the dry food in Wysong contains garlic, he has research papers available if anyone feels the need to wade through the bazillions of pages he has, arrghh.) i don't think he pushes his product just to make money. I believe he cares for animals (and people) and who am i to say he doesn't have the right to make a buck? Or, a lot of bucks as the case may be. Ed and Cindy the same way--they promote a way of doing things, they promote particular products, they promote Michael Ellis. They make a buck and in return we all may benefit. Also, what i do like about Wysong is that he tells you to NOT feed a kibble diet, he tells people to NOT buy his or anyone elses foods. He promotes raw, biologically appropriate diets for all animals, including humans. I discussed with him the practice of feeding raw, rotating with kibble, using some veggies, he sees no problem with "caustic" environments in the stomach or gut. My Aussie has been fed this way since eight weeks, he is now eleven, can run all day, only to the vet for rabies jab. Great genetics have a lot to do with it i cannot deny, his father passed away a couple years ago at age sixteen and ate nothing but Ole Roy, kibble type chicken feed and popcorn at night when watching TV! LOL
Sorry about the digression.
Part of my decision to do what i am doing with vaccines is to trust that by a good diet-thus healthy immune system, no exposure to chemicals and the help of the fine people on this forum, we can avoid or fight off potetial hazzards. I live in a rural area so have a lot of wildlfe around, we will just have to deal with that part.
Again, thanks to all who have chimed in, it truly does help me a lot.
Respectfully
