thanks for reply.
my dog is not always on a regular leash except morning, noon, and evening walks. he is off leash in the home.
i understand NILIF program as told by you but in this particular case i request you how to use it.
thanking you again.
Actually, I was referring to NILIF to reinforce pack structure and obedience.
A dog who is obediently responding to a command is not wildly pulling you toward a cat.
But I would also be desensitizing. I would think about starting by doing ob work (with high value rewards) at a distance from a cat where the dog does not react. Is there a cat in a window, say?
Does he still pull on the leash even when there's no cat or strange dog?
Are you doing obedience training work every day, in short sessions?
thanks my dog does not pull on leash in absence of cat or dog. yes there are three dog with whome he wants to play but i dont allow him.
yes i do obedience training work every day regularly. i have one more question. whether the video of dog training is allowed.
hello team leerburg, i am unable to understand the following incident of aggression and bite.
since i have been lagging behind in obedience training and dog is not trained as per your ratings.
i was in office and preparing to leave for home in the end of the day, i got a call from home that my dog has bitten the hand of dog walker. i rushed to home and find the dog lying in the balcony with leash on. as told by family, it all started as follows.
as the dog walker came and my son called the dog by his name. dog did not responded on two or three calls. then he came reluctantly. my son who is 13 yrs old, put the leash on. when he tried to hand over the leash to dog walker, the dog resisted. one point is to be mmentioned here that i instructed to the family, if the dog is not willing to go, then do not try to send him. i will take him out after my office. after persuasion to the dog, when dog walker hold the leash the dog immediately bite in the hand of dog walker. when i reached home and asked about the incident they told me three or four times the same version of the incident. in the mean time i did not say anything to dog. just hold the leash and went for a walk and feeded him as usual. during the walk i remain silent. prior to this i went hospital and vaccinated the dog walker. after one day when i called the dog walker for his well being, the dog saw him and showed aggression again. since i was present on the occasion i gave him two three hard correction as i saw in the video of dominant dog collar. i am not having the dd collar but the simple plain nylon collar. also i chained him and put the muzzle on. i am not able to understand the reason of this behavior and repeated aggression on seeing the dog walker.
i am fully determined to do anything whatever you suggest to make me do as i do not want to separate the dog. also i am very much concerned about the safety of the people. i am showing the courage to write this to you because i feel that you give advice to put the dog to sleep whenever you sense some thing wrong from the dog or dog owner. i seek your advice and cooperation.

Whoa!!! Where did you get this idea? It is absolutely not true. You are describing a single bite incident. I am going to let the training and behavior experts address that, but I feel confident that no one on this forum will suggest that you put your dog to sleep because of it.
It is Saturday morning in the US. The forum is usually very slow on weekends. People are out doing things with their dogs, their families. I'm sure you'll get plenty of replies, but don't worry if you don't see much until Monday.

You don't read this board much if you think that.
The dog has never bitten, correct?
Has the dog hesitated to go with the dog walker before?
How long have you had this dog walker?
Does a family member ever accompany them on the walk?
Usually a dog is desperate for exercise, for the excitement of a walk. Perhaps the dog is becoming frightened on the walk. or is the dog becoming overheated?
I'm NOT any sort of trainer, but I find it very unusual that a dog would not be enjoying his walk.
Perhaps this gentleman doesn't really walk the dog anywhere, just goes around the block and waits for some time, then brings the dog back.
dog has bitten earlier
dog was reluctant to go with the dog walker
dog walker has been for three month
dog walker always said whenever i come along that the dog will not go in my presence.
and thank you very much for the support.
