Plain Peppermint tea shouldn't have caffeine in it.
Do they fight you as much with just plain broth?
Based on how MY stomach feels today , if anyone tried to feed me most of the stuff at the family dinner today I would have been pretty violent. So I can certainly sympathize with your pups. I know it is a dilemma, let them voluntarily fast, or get some much needed nutrients into them.
My vote is for very bland stuff for the pups.
I'm sure your Chi does appreciate your sacrifice for him, even if he does give you a nasty look.

i know it doesn't haven't caffeine, i just didnt want anyone who didn;t know to fuss...
As muc as they need to eat, i am not going to force feeding anymore, they all fought so hard, and even though they are small, when they squirm and don't want to open up, it's just too much of a struggle. But they have all always sat very still for the sub-q.
They fight no matter what i try to feed them.
But, i fell asleep in my chair, and a few minutes ago, i woke up to something scratching at my arm, and i was all prepared to toss off a cat, and it was dobby, the little runt. He was trying to get me to pet him, and he just sat and looked at me for a while, and then climbed back on the couch and went to steep. So that was promising.

i managed to get ahold of the vet/kennel that boarded them, and they offered to see the pups again at no charge. I was very leery, but i took them back in. Not one person there could explain the condition of my dogs to me. They kept saying, they have parvo.
no sh!t. I'm not asking about that. No one could tell me why i was left in the dark about everything, and why my pups were returned to me like that monday morning, claiming they were healthy when i picked them up. WTF????
And, get this.
They knew i was coming into their office, me with my parvo puppies. They let me wait in the regular waiting room, with other animals, other dogs there. I had to tell like 4 different owners to keep their dogs away. The staff didn't say anything. Me and my pups, and my parvo shoes walked around the waiting area, into an exam room, where the vet tech touched the pups, and everything else, and bleached nothing. Then they moved me to their "contagious" animal exam room. I know that the first room i was in was not bleached, and they took another patient in there.
While i was in the 2nd room, their 2 office dogs were wandering in and out the open door, where i just walked, and the pup's crate was sitting in the floor. The loose dogs then wandered ALL OVER THE OFFICE, in all the exam rooms, in the KENNEL AREA.....
i asked him why he allowed those dogs in the room, he said, oh, they had their shots...
they are carrying it all over your office!!!!!1
He gave the remaining pups an anti nausia shot. This was at noon. It is 3:30 now, and oliver just died. They were looking better, more vibrant before i took them to that awful place! Yet again, within hours of them treating my dogs, another is dead.
I will own that office. please, someone give some help.

1. Did you get their charts from before?
2. What was the shot? Do you have the paperwork?
3. Print out this post and add it to your file, including date.
4. BE SURE you note vet names, etc.
5. GET THIS INFO NOW. DO NOT MAKE ACCUSATIONS OR TALK ABOUT LEGAL RECOURSE UNTIL YOU HAVE EVERY SPECK OF PAPERWORK FROM THAT PLACE.
6. Ask your (real) vet about her opinion of the nausea med. NO LEGAL MENTION.
7. Keep taking pics, and I really hope you followed the advice about pics as soon as possible after you p/u the pups.

I am very sorry about Oliver. My heart aches for you. What an experience.
BTW, I would recommend that you NOT return there with any dogs. Pick up charts, yes, but don't weaken your case by acting as though you still trust or respect their care.
I mean from now on; I do understand today. But no more.
GET THE CHARTS. If there are any "blanks" - ASK. And have someone with you.

And personally, again, I would maintain a demeanor of "need to know only in order to provide better ongoing care." I would NOT make accusations, talk suit, or break anyone's face -- you need that paperwork.
And then take the paperwork and your log and be sure NOW that all dates, happenings, call, names.... all is in order and complete. Don't try to reconstruct later.

1. yes, though incomplete, they "can't find" the rest f the charts
2.I can't read the writing, i will ask my vet what kind of shots they give, and then i will remember
3.will do
4.I won't forget, he is on my list
5. too late, sorry, i called them and well...... i had a dead puppy in my arms...
6. i called, she is going to call back(in with a dog now)
7. i did, but i don't know if they will be enough, they were always huddled together, it's harder to see how skinny they are that way. I got some stretched out though.

Call and ask for someone to read it with you and you write it down. Get their name.
