Product Description
The mini Educator ET-300 is a ½ mile remote trainer loaded with unique features making it the most humane and effective dog training collar available. The ability to set the boost level from 1 to 60 levels allows the user to tailor the boost stimulation to your dog’s temperament. Smaller dogs typically need 1 to 20 while bigger more stubborn dogs require the 20 to 60 boost range. The “lock and set” greatly reduces the chances of over stimulation by allowing the user to lock in a desired stimulation level. The smaller transmitter is especially well-suited for smaller hands or in situations where discreetness is important. But, don’t be fooled by the small receiver size 2” x 1.5” x 1” 2.4 ounce, it provides plenty of stimulation for most dogs. The unique COS (control of stimulation) technology provides very clean and reliable stimulation without the normal head jerking often found with other training collars. The tapping sensation employed is similar to vibration, but more intense making it a good substitute to the stimulation. The unit can be converted to tone instead of vibration. The stop watch style transmitter is so ergonomic; you don’t even have to look at the remote allowing you to watch your dog. The night tracking light is controlled by the transmitter allowing the user to flash or continuously light up the collar receiver for locating your dog after dark. Lost transmitter beeper can be turned on to help locate a misplaced or lost transmitter. The transmitter even floats so don’t worry if you drop in the lake. Educator Remote E-Collar will turn a smart stubborn dog into a genius. 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed. Proudly Assembled in the USA

Selecting Contact Probes / Points
What contact points you use on your collar will be dictated by the length of your dog’s coat. Dogs with very short hair should have shorter contact points and dogs that have long, thick coats should have longer contact points. All Educator Ecollars come with two sets of contact points: 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch. To purchase the smaller size contact point, you can check out our Educator Ecollar Accessories page.

Why buy an Educator Collar?
Educator collars are lighter and more technologically current. Educator's tapping sensation is twice as intense as their pager mode, their tones are more pronounced, their stimulation is cleaner and has a higher intensity when needed. The stimulation dial on the Educator is easier to adjust and has the "lock and set" feature to prevent accidental over-stimulation, for 2 dogs each dog can be locked in to a different level. Educator's stimulation is of a medical grade type that does not cause head jerking but will obtain compliance.
Another technological advantage of Educator Collars is that they have the quickest stimulation in the industry. In other words from the time you push the button to the time stimulation starts is the shortest in the industry. This may be a subtle to many but competition trainers like it very much.
All of Educator's products have night lights. They have programmable modes allowing the user to select different uses for the buttons. All of the Educator transmitters float and are waterproof to 500' and can withstand 5000 Gs of shock. Comparable e-collars are good to 60' and 1000 Gs of shock, tough but not as tough. They have a quick-release belt/saddle/purse clip combined with the ergonomics of the transmitter make it easier to work. Educator uses Biothane collar straps for unsurpassed durability. Comparing similar e-collars in other brands to the ET300 is like comparing a Yugo to a Ferrari but paying the same price.
Last but not least, the money you spend stays in the US. All Educator collars and products are made in the USA.

Write a ReviewWhen I moved house 2 years ago, suffice to say my ecollar got LOST in all the packing-shipping-unpacking ... Fast Forward till today when I finally Found It again, but because I'm older than dirt & am NOT tech-savvy, of course I couldn't remember how to set it up for active use -Leerburg's video clip is so E-Z compared to the old written instructions (which are long-gone anyway, LOL).
As far as this specific collar is concerned, this is the only one I have ever used. It was recommended to me by the trainer that I followed and I've stuck with it since. If it aint broke, don't fix it:)
If you are in the market for a top quality E-Collar, look no further!
And, thank you Leerburg for being such a great company!
My unit had a problem and the transmitter was randomly powering off. I sent e-collar technologies an email, informing them about my problem. I was asked to give them a call, and after a 10 minute converastion they asked for my full address. Within a couple of days I recieved an email stating that a replacement unit had been tendered for shipment. I got my replacement this week without having to pay a penny. (It costs about 140 dollars to ship something to my country from the USA)
Don't hesitate to order!
I also love the straps that you can buy, makes taking it off very easy!!
I had a PetTrainer brand e-collar (retails for ~$35) And as Ed Frawley, and other Leerburg staff, test ran shock collars by using them on themselves, I used my PetTrainer on myself. The shock delivered a painful buzzing shocking sensation. I did not want that used on my dogs any longer after experiencing the Mini in this listing.
I purchased the mini and began using it on myself. There was no pain at all. I couldn't even feel it until 15. Instead of a painful buzzing shock, my muscle tingled. The higher the number, the more twitch or tightening of the muscles could be felt. But no pain!
Easy to hold, easy to operate. No more syncing to transmitter and collar. Just an easy magnetized button connection. Stop watch design is easy to hold and hide out of sight. Collar is wonderfully deisgned, but I love the design of the transmitter!
This has also allowed me to take our dog on trail rides with my horse. I can control him from horse back while riding next to a road on our way to the trails.
It comes with a lanyard, which makes it super easy to grab the controller and buzz, if needed, while I'm riding.
This did cost a little more than I wanted to spend, but after reviewing cheaper models I knew I would end up getting this one anyways. I would rather have a quality product that is convenient, works and lasts.
My 70 lb hound mix (Lipton) has already been through a basic obedience course and generally listens well. He is very good on the leash and consistently listens to basic commands. However, I have had a really hard time teaching recall to any dog that I've ever owned.
I started working with Lipton indoors with the ecollar and a 6 foot leash on. Then I moved outdoors with the leash still on--working him on commands he already knows and responds to. After about 2 weeks, I put him on a 15 foot lead and worked him outdoors without holding the lead. Its amazing how well he does. He responds perfectly almost every time. If he is extremely interested in a smell and doesn't seem to be listening, I just turn the stimulation up 3-5 levels and he immediately looks my way then responds to my command when I tap him on a higher stimulation level.
This device has 100 levels, I usually use it around level 10, one time I had to go up to level 18 when he was very distracted by a smell. When we're working indoors with very few distractions, I can use it on level 3-5.
We have dogs with very different temperaments so we especially like the flexibility of setting the stim levels from very low to fairly high on the Einstein. Our 15-month-old Malinois can be quite hard-headed about some things so she is set far higher than our sensitive Bulldog/Husky mix. If she is intensely focused on trying to get to the noisy border collie behind the fence, I can boost the stim with the button push to get her attention so she responds to my Recall. This way she can be rewarded for making the "decision" to leave the fence and come to me.
The point I really want to make, however, is how responsive and helpful the Einstein company has been when I had questions about the functions of this 2-dog model. They have gotten back to me very quickly to work through my issues and have been willing to do whatever was necessary for this tool to work in my situation, with my dogs. I have confidence buying products from Leerburg because you work with suppliers like Einstein who are aimed at customer satisfaction. I cannot say enough about the support I have received from Einstein, and I love the collars.
I decided to purchase the ET300 and your DVD on Remote Collar Training. So far, I couldn't be happier. Funny thing is, I have found I actually only have to use the vibrate/tap feature rather than stim for most things. I have done training sessions using the ET300 for loose leash walking and come on recall, and have seen great improvement for both with just the vibration/tap for correction, followed by a treat for positive reinforcement when he does as asked.
I'm also using this for nuisance barking "enough" command. For this one, I have had to use just a very low setting of stim with the nick/momentary function if he's really going nuts and ignores the vibration, but most times just the tap and verbal command gets him to stop, at least temporarily. He then gets a positive reward (treat) as soon as he quiets. This isn't exactly the correct way, but it is working. There are already times when I have let him out and he sees a rabbit, squirrel, another dog, neighbor's horses or cows, that I can just call his name and then give the enough command, after just a couple times of using the Einstein collar. Just a week ago, there was no way he would listen when outside and he saw prey. My neighbors, I'm sure, are grateful.
Love the features of this training collar and results are fast. Highly recommend.
