The containers on this page are to be used by scent work, Nosework, and/or law enforcement K9 handlers.
When I was a K9 Handler for the sheriff's department, I was always concerned about contaminating my training aids. When my finds were hidden, I worried that my dog would associate my or another handler's odor with the training aids.
To eliminate those concerns, I constantly used different containers to hold scented items. I also chose containers that were easily sterilized.
This same concept can be applied to scent work or Nosework competitors. Trainers can use different styles or colors of scent tins on different days or for different dogs. Then, put them through the dish washer after training.
