MADE IN THE USA

Leerburg leather products are works of art.

The cow hides used to make all of Leerburg's leather are hand selected for Leerburg before tanning. We need and use the thickest hides available. Our hides go through over 85 steps in a tanning process that takes over a month. There are many types of Latigo leather that are made in Mexico, India, or Pakistan, but none can compare to the quality of Leerburg’s Latigo leather.

Once tanned, our Leerburg Leather is delivered to the Amish family that crafts our leather products right here in Wisconsin. Our 4 Amish craftsmen have been making Leerburg leather products since 1990.

These 5 Amish craftsmen hand cut, sew, pop-rivet, and tailor all of our leather products. We have yet to come across another leather product that measures up to our products' quality.

In 2015, we switched from using brass or bronze hardware to stainless steel. Stainless Steel is stronger and lasts a lifetime. You can go and find a cheaper leather product somewhere else, but the quality will not measure up to our products.

100% of Leerburg leather products are made in Wisconsin. We don't use leather from India, Pakistan, or Mexico.

The quality of the collar is superior to anything I've ever bought for my dog. I just wish it fit! He was at 20 inches so I ordered the large. The medium would have been better. It is way too big. He is a 95lb boy, and it's still too dang large. It falls off his head when he bends down on the smallest hole. It's a great product. I'd just size down instead of up.

I bought one of these collars almost 10 years ago. It has outlived my dog but now maybe time to buy a new one for my upcoming puppy. Wondering about the stainless steel rings, I absolutely love the brass and it is still good as new after all these years. The leather is getting worn now though. What a collar!! It has no equal.

I bought this collar to use for AKC Canine Good Citizen and Farm Dog tests (no pinch or chain collars allowed). This collar is well made, sturdy and looks really nice on a dog! This is my go-to collar for any outdoor adventure with my dog - I know that the dog cannot get this leash over its head, and I have peace of mind knowing that it will not fail! The quality of leather, materials and workmanship is top notch! As others have mentioned, there is sometimes excess "flap" of leather, and you might want to order an extra keeper if you have a smaller necked dog.

This is a very heavy duty, well-made collar. The M size was a little big for my 35lb mini boxer. I had to put it on the tightest loop hole and cut the extra leather off the end and it is still a bit big on him but it's great for keeping him from tugging to hard on walks. I went through so many metal chain slip collars and they all tarnished, chipped, and irritated his skin.

Quality is high, but if you use at the small setting, a lot of strap just flaps around. Some electrical tape would do the trick, but how in-elegant is that? 5 stars on quality, 3 stars on design.

Wow! Outstanding materials and construction. Also allows for size adjustment up or down. I'm ordering my second one today for my other hound. Highly recommended.

I've bought three of these collars before Leerburg made the switch to stainless steel hardware, and I plan to replace them sometime soon! They've been my primary collar for more than seven years, and while they do show some wear, they're just as functional as they were in the beginning. My only wish was that they came in a size smaller, as they are a bit big for comfort on my 29lb Aussie bitch.

I got this collar a couple of years ago and I can honestly say it is still my favorite. I did have to adjust the buckle on it some to make it a little smaller and there was just a little too much leather flopping on the end for me. A quick snip with some sharp shears and it was great. With three dogs this is quick and easy to slip on and head out the door without the worry of them slipping the collar.

Bought a brown collar for my hard to handle, 65 pound Aussie mix two years ago. Very well made and has held up very well. Just adopted a 72 pound mixed Shepherd stray and I am ordering one for him as well! Great product.
