Notes

Dogs wearing a cloth muzzle cannot pant or drink water while when wearing this muzzle. Cloth muzzles are designed for short-term use. They should only be used as a temporary restraint. Use only with direct supervision and never leave your dog unattended while wearing a cloth muzzle. Failure to do so could result in inhibiting the dog's panting (it's natural cooling mechanism) producing a life threatening situation. You should also be aware that most dogs can still bite while wearing an open-faced muzzle.

For more information on training with and using muzzles, read this article.

WARNING

There are several Facebook groups run by well-intentioned people who are telling dog owners to get these HUGE, HUGE muzzles. These folks claim these monster-sized muzzles allow a dog more room to pant, but fail to take several important factors into account. Poorly fitting, oversized muzzles come off far too easily--making this downright dangerous advice, especially if you have a reactive or aggressive dog.

The last thing someone in this position wants or needs is for a muzzle to come off their dog when it is needed the most. Our advice is to be very careful about listening to people who lack experience with aggressive dogs.

I have not used this one in particular but I have used similar ones. I have a doberman and I am thinking with his longer snout this might work good? Anyone have any input for me?? Or has anyone tried this one out?

Below is a picture of an adult female Malinois with a cloth muzzle. This muzzle comes in handy on visits to the vet.
