Training with a Remote Collar

The ARC-X is a remote dog training collar — a system that lets you communicate with your dog from up to three-quarters of a mile away without needing to be right next to them. Think of it like a gentle, wireless way to get your dog's attention or reinforce commands during training.

It comes in two main pieces: the receiver and the remote transmitter. The receiver is a small, lightweight box weighing just 2.75 oz that fastens to your dog's neck via a strap, sitting snugly against their skin. The remote transmitter is the handheld controller you carry, used to send signals to your dog from a distance.

When you press a button on the remote, the collar on your dog can do one of three things: deliver a vibration similar to a phone buzz to get their attention, play an audible tone as a cue, or deliver a gentle stimulation with 100 adjustable levels so you can dial in exactly the right intensity for your dog's size and sensitivity.

The ARC-X is designed to be comfortable and low-profile. The curved shape hugs your dog's neck naturally, and at just over three inches long, it's one of the slimmest collars available. It's also fully waterproof, so swimming, rain, or muddy adventures are no problem.

As a first-time buyer, a few practical things to know: the collar works for dogs 15 lbs and up and can be expanded to train up to three dogs by adding additional receivers. Everything you need to get started — including the remote, receiver, collar strap, charger, and more — is included right in the box.
