This conversion will work on any brand of muzzle. The Quick Snap Conversion Kit enables you to convert your muzzle into a quick-release buckle style muzzle.

Kit includes: (1) 3/4" Wide Biothane Extension Strap, (1) 3/4" Leerburg Quick Snap, (2) 1/4" Chicago Screws

Instructions

Step 1: Gather your supplies. You will need a muzzle, a screwdriver, knife (Box cutter or exacto blade), and the quick snap conversion kit.

Step 2: Take note of the 2 different straps on your muzzle. One will have a buckle on one end. The other will have holes the buckle secures too. Take the end with the buckle and cut the buckle off, leaving as much strap on the end as possible.

Step 3: With the old buckle removed, we are now going to replace it with the new quick snap buckle. Put the cut strap through the buckle, fold it over, and secure it with one of the Chicago screw sets provided.

Step 4: Now take the biothane strap with buckle provided and fold it over the other side of the quick release buckle, securing it with the other set of Chicago screws provided.

Step 5: Put the muzzle on the dog and secure straps to the desired sizing.

Compatibility Warning

These muzzle accessories feature 3/4" wide biothane straps. Due to this width, they fit best on wire basket polycoat muzzles size 15C and larger.

Note: Jafco muzzles in sizes 0-1 have 5/8" straps, which are 1/8" narrower than these biothane straps.

WARNING !!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT CUT YOUR STRAPS TOO SHORT. There are no replacement straps for JAFCO muzzles and you may have to buy a new muzzle. But, if you have a wire basket muzzle, like Leerburg's Polymer Coated Wire Basket Muzzle, you can get Leerburg's replacement strap kit. So make your alteration and if you are not 110% happy with what you have done, don't trim the slack for a few days.
