Ed Frawley and Leerburg cannot recommend the Pro Educator 900 remote collar. For the vast majority of dog trainers, it is too complicated to use.

Why buy an Educator Collar?
Educator collars are lighter and more technologically current. Educator's tapping sensation is twice as intense as their pager mode, their tones are more pronounced, their stimulation is cleaner and has a higher intensity when needed. The stimulation dial on the Educator is easier to adjust and has the "lock and set" feature to prevent accidental over-stimulation, for 2 dogs each dog can be locked in to a different level. Educator's stimulation is of a medical grade type that does not cause head jerking but will obtain compliance.
Another technological advantage of Educator Collars is that they have the quickest stimulation in the industry. In other words from the time you push the button to the time stimulation starts is the shortest in the industry. This may be a subtle to many but competition trainers like it very much.
All of Educator's products have night lights. They have programmable modes allowing the user to select different uses for the buttons. All of the Educator transmitters float and are waterproof to 500' and can withstand 5000 Gs of shock. Comparable e-collars are good to 60' and 1000 Gs of shock, tough but not as tough. They have a quick-release belt/saddle/purse clip combined with the ergonomics of the transmitter make it easier to work. Educator uses Biothane collar straps for unsurpassed durability. Comparing similar e-collars in other brands to the ET300 is like comparing a Yugo to a Ferrari but paying the same price.
Last but not least, the money you spend stays in the US. All Educator collars and products are made in the USA.

I love this system. It is my first use of the "new" type of e-collars. I had used electric collars in the past and hated them. After doing alot of reading and video watching, I decided to give it a go. I bought the two dog system for my two 16 month old american bulldogs.
I introduced the collars exactly as described on the e-collar training video, and it worked perfectly. No loss of drive at all. Dogs recognised it's function immediately. Within three months, I have been able to set the the programmed functions to tone and vibrate only.
About me - I am not a dog trainer and I am often "technically challenged". I have followed Leerburg and Michael Ellis since I got the pups at eight weeks, and have not varied from the training suggestions. This was just the next step. I am so glad I did it and overcame my distrust of the "old" e-collars. My dogs go everywhere with me (including work) and I must know they will always be the best behaved dogs as a matter of course. Highly recommend. Would not be without this now.

I have tried about every brand of e-collar on the market so I speak not only from 30 years of dog training experience but also one who has seen the good and bad in these collars. I am very happy to say that I am 100% satisfied with this system. I say "system" because it gives you so many options. You can use one collar or up to 3 and and control them quickly with one remote. When I first started setting up my transmitter and two receivers I had a little trouble understanding the process so I called the company. My questions were answered quickly and correctly to get me up and running. I like the fact that you can do so many things with the buttons and settings. Hard corrections, tones, vibrations ... you name it. I think Educator is the new leader in e-collar technology and I only wish we had this many options years ago. If I lost my system today would I invest in another one? Yes! I would order it the same day.

I LOVE this zip line and harness. I use it in my SUV and sedan also. IT is easy to install, stays out of the way when not in use, and is easy to connect to the dog. I have dobermans, and connecting this zip line to the handles above the back doors, keeps it up above my dogs and lets them stay in the back seat, but be able to move about, without wrapping around their legs, like in a short seat belt strap type restraint. The strap that goes from the zip line to the harness clasp is adjustable so you can shorten or lengthen it to work with the height of the dog's back. Make sure to leave it long enough for your dogs to lie down. It really keeps the dog from tangling in the strap. They can lie down, spin around, move rather freely in the back seat. One of my girls is a bit reactive, and I feel more comfortable with the harness holding her safely in the back seat. This product is inexpensive for what you get. It is well made, and works perfectly. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep a dog safe in the back seat.

I was very excited to get this ecollar for my 4yrs old German shepherd. She is a trained disaster search dog. She is not aggressive, but very strong headed. I wanted to have the collar for reassurance. The collar was fantastic for the first 3 weeks. I fine-tuned it for our specific needs. But after 3 weeks, a cold front moved into where we live. The temperatures dropped to almost freezing in the morning. This is not a "real" cold weather, but definitely unusual in the Los Angeles area. I put the collar on my dog and we went out for our regular morning exercise in the park. I did not have to use it, but just in case ... After we finished I took the collar off of her, and just pushed one of the buttons to test. The button got stuck in a pushed-in position. Then I tried the other button, which also got stuck. At this point nothing worked. I tried to turn the device off, I could not. I turned the remote unit off, and back on - nothing. The dial also could not change the intensity. I tried to warm the hand-unit up in my hand. Finally I was able to turn the hand unit off, but the buttons were still stuck. After a while, I was able to "wiggle" them out. I am glad, this did not happen when the collar was on my dog. I can not even guess what signals were sent out. I tested the buttons a couple of more mornings, and each time the buttons got stuck. Not as severe as the first time, because I was able to turn the unit off. My guess is, that at lower temperatures, the protective rubber around the buttons became more stiff. I returned the device, and did not ask for a replacement. I can not wonder in colder temps, if the collar works or even hurts my dog or not. I contacted the company to let them know what happened, but they never called me back, nor sent an email. I am very disappointed, because the collar itself is wonderful. I liked the signal "profile" which gave a deeper stimulation (instead of sharp and painful shocks). It is very important for my working dog to use the minimum corrections, to make sure, that I don't take her drive away to find somebody. I replaced it with our well tested Dogtra brand.

I gave this collar a try and wish i never got it!!! Always was a tri tronics user PRO 500 and wanted to switch since they were taken over by garmin and things changed a little. This collar is not consistent whatsoever in my opinion. Im always changing the levels because i get totally diffrent responses each time. And the dial moves in your pocket when not in use. I wish i could get my money back!!!! I just purchased a tri-tronics pro 550 and no problems at all. Just very upset with all the money i spent on it.
