Pets: | Stryker: my first dog (except for the family cocker spaniel when I was a kid). I got him because my neighbor was fostering him and I needed a security system due to a recent break in. He's a rescued GSD who spent the first two months with me pulling dishes out of the sink, trash out of the bathroom, or his food out of the closet and eating or peeing on all of it. Hes doing a lot better now, an I've learned a TON about dogs as I've had to work through all his issues. Still very much a work in progress. Stryker, despite his multitude of behavior challenges, is my heart. I will walk through fire to do right by him and help him be a better dog. Chunk: A black lab mutt, formerly named Midnight. Belonged to a Kentucky woman who was killed in action in Iraq. Through some miraculous dog rescue transports, he made his way to Denver. I knew as soon as I met him and he sat down right in front of me and just looked me in the eye that we were meant for eachother. he is gentle and tolerant and loves people so much. Farrah: a small blonde spitfire of a Pekingese, rescued from a Missouri puppy mill. When I met her, she melted in my arms, and just like when I met Stryker and Chunk, I just knew. She is confident, assertive, stubborn and has more personality than any other dog I've ever met. |
About Me: | I'm a civil engineer with the Bureau of Reclamation. I just bought a house, and I have three dogs, so most of my spare time is spent vacuuming up hair balls, going for walks, playing fetch, and cleaning drool off the furniture. |
