Hi. I have been reading this website forever. I have been watching the Puppy Training DVD and so want to do everything right. We have been preparing for our puppy. I have ordered a lot of toys from Leerburg and also have found a Puppy Kong. We have a small crate and I figure we can purchase new crates as he grows. He is a Labradoodle and coming home Dec. 23. No, it is not a Holiday present. So, her begins my first question, one of many, I am sure. We have a 2 story home. I want the puppy to sleep in his crate in my bedroom upstairs at night. Would it be alright to have 2 crates? One upstairs, and one downstairs. Would that confuse the puppy? Any logistical suggestions?

I don't see where that would be any problem.
If you're worried about your puppy not feeling secure in crate number two, just put two towels ( or whatever you use for bedding ) in the crate that he goes into the first time and when you place him in crate number two for the first time, just put one of the pre-scented beddings into that crate - it'll have his scent and be a familar and soothing item right off the bat.
