I ran across a tiny article in my local paper last week about a pack of chihuahuas attacking a police officer. I found the video online today. Very interesting.

Although I think this is kind of funny, it really is not. It just goes to point out that all kinds of breeds can be turned into packs when they are kept by people who either do not know how to have more than one dog or just do not care. Imagine of the dog pack was medium to large size dogs. The officer could have very well been killed.
I think that people need to be educated about owning more than one dog no matter what the size and breed is. I know, I know, people getting educated about this issue is wishful thinking on my part. All we on this board can do is try to help educate the people that want to be educated.

I heard of someone breaking into a house that had a "guard dog chihuahua".... the guy shoo'd the dog into a room with a chair and closed the door <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Exactly my point. I am making sure that my daughter includes this article on her BSL research paper.
While chihuahuas might certainly try to kill a man, it would probably be a rather slow process, unless they were armed. Carol, did you read last week's post about the chis that attacked the officer? I couldn't open the video, but I wonder if this is maybe what this post is referring to?

I did not see last weeks post. I would imagine this is the same....but I could be wrong. Yes, Chis killing a man would be a slow process....but I was saying if the dogs in the pack had been medium to large dogs it would have been much more severe of an attack.

Oh, me, all I could think of when I read this were Will's killer hampsters..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Killer hampsters? Sounds like a bad sci-fi movie. Did Fetz train them? I'd love to meet Fetz and the killer hampsters someday.
Carol, I wasn't disagreeing with you on the serious principle of this story-I was asking if you read the last post because we talked about how small dogs shouldn't be allowed to display abominable behavior just because they're small. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Now I REALLY can't stop laughing.
But not to hijack the thread, the rest of your answer:

Sorry, my bad, I reread my post and it looked odd to me. I will have to go find that other post. My internet was down all weekend and so I have been playing catch up on several things.
Thanks and I apologize for misunderstanding <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
