He's beautiful-and HUGE! Or maybe it's just the picture ! To post pics in the future, see if you can resize them, or just post the link to the picture. Seriously, though, handsome dog.
OMG Im terribly sorry . Didnt realise it was going to be that big. Mods if you want to delete please free i'll upload Cyber again once i probably resize. Again my apologies
And btw Jenny, yeah hes quite big, should see him when stands on his back legs, he's taller than me! People wonder what i feed him. I only feed 1 14 small cup of kibbles twice a day. A 15kg bag last for over 6 weeks, and thats all he eats. I'm strict on what he eats as i know they are prone to crohns etc. My wife has crohns so we understand the disease and how painful it is. The kibbles i get are direct from the dealer who sells food to kennels here, and it is strcitly for german shepherds and free from additive E's colorings, all that bad stuff, so he is getting pure nutition.
Ok, I have to ask, since you mentioned food-what are you feeding him? I'm not going to get obnoxious, (well, I'll try anyway) but look into the raw diet. I wish I'd done it years ago with my childhood dog . Anyway, how much does he weigh now? He didn't look overweight from the picture. If he's really large, it's especially important to keep him very lean to minimize strain on hips and elbows. Caleb's also large (96lbs) and WAY taller than me if he stands up. I keep him supermodel thin because he has mild dysplasia in one hip, and the worst thing is carrying extra weight. Anyway, nice-looking dog and thanks for posting the picture. It's nice to have a face with a name!
BTW Cyber was weighed last year and Vet said that he was perfect. He is very active thats why i leave me off the leash as often as possible to burn his energy off. Will be going to vet next week and will get him weighed and come back to you, but seriously to me he is not over weighed my uncle in law who has 3 shepherds and has worked with shepherds here all is life says he's perfect but heck im open to criticism, if you seriously think he is over weight just say so, i'll cut back in is feeding, but seriously 3 small cups of kibbles a day i think is little enough, and that what i was recommend by the nutrionist.
Yeah and jenny yes i agree about keeping shepherds lean because of their skeleckol makeup. They are prone to hypdisplisea. Just to let you know Cyber's hips were scored and are perfect.
I said he DIDN'T look overweight !!! I was just curious about what you were feeding because you said people asked you, and because you were particular about nutrition. I was just being curious and conversational because I too, have an oversized shepherd. I wasn't criticizing in any way!!!
No Jenny I knew you werent giving out about his weight seriously. No im just putting the word out there for other peoples opinion. Sorry if i meant any offence. On the other hand i am very protective of Cyber but arent we all He's my best friend *outside my wife of course
