seems like everyone is pointing me in to the direction of raw diet or at least adding some raw to my kibble as the best diet. Can you post your recipe that works for you or if this is not the place for it, PM it to me.
And from what I've heard, kibble and raw food digest at different rates so if you plan to feed both (I did for a while), feed raw in the morning and kibble in the evening, or vice versa, basically keep em at seperate mealtimes.

Many say that kibble and raw are best not fed in the same meal, because the length of time kibble takes to digest keeps the raw in the intestines longer than is normal, increasing the dog's susceptibility to microbe development. (Normally, raw shoots through pretty fast in a dog's *short* system; this is a large part of why dogs aren't vulnerable to microbe problems the way we humans with our very long and time-consuming digestions are).
I've never actually fed kibble (although I've fed canned in the past, and I fed home-cooked for a few years, with bone meal), so I hope others who have fed this combo will jump in.

ok, good deal. i will read the link. i know raw is best but the wife really isn't feeling the idea. slowly but surely i will switch over. in the meantime i may opt for some lifes abundnace or honest kitchen
