Just made my first rode trip with Bo. About 15 minutes into the trip he became very ill. He was foaming at the mouth and I could tell he was getting really sick. Just wondering if there is anything he can take before the trip or will he get used to riding in the car. By the way, he is only 15 weeks old. Thanks!!!!
Hallo, I have or had the same problem. The reason "had" because he has not gotten sick the last couple of times while in car.
I would not recomend medication, it makes them drowsy, but also I have not found any good pills yet so maybe somebody knows of something.
My pup would get extremely sick each and every time in a car. I just really managed the time I go and time I feed now. I feed him early about 7:30 in the morning and I make sure we go and play and have a little out time before we go somewhere. It helped a lot. I feed him at least 2 hours prior time in a car. The last three times he was fine.
My other dog I had was "foaming" till the rest of his life.
I know, it is no fun cleaning up.. but mostly dogs grow out of car sickness. Mostly.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Brad, we've discussed this problem many times in the past and it'd be worth using the "search" function to look up those old threads - there are some good ideas there but a lot of posters don't want to have to type the same reply over and over again to a question that's asked about once a month on the average.
The "search" function is your friend! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
