So I took my 6 month old husky for a long walk today. We went a new route, by some railroad tracks. He freaked!!!!! All he wanted to do is go down the tracks. When we got to the park we always go to for his runs, he calmed down. (Back to normal) We played for about 2 hours then went home the same way. Again around the tracks he freaked. We got to our road and he snapped back to himself.
Does anyone have an idea of why he would have done this?
Or the rails might have triggered a genetic memory of sled tracks in the snow & he figured you guys were way behind in the Iditarod Race, so he wanted to catch up, LOL -- Just kidding of course, but maybe it was one of his ancestors who starred in that film, "The Littlest Hobo" (wasn't it about a Husky & his boy who rode the rails) ???
Seriously though, maybe he just smelled something exciting that had gone down those tracks earlier, who knows...
