You could say "Pee" every time you take your dog out to pee. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> After a while they'll catch on.
Since I mark my dog's behaviour with "Good boy!", it's easier this way...I say "Get busy" over and over again and when the dog finally pees, I mark it and praise the dog.
yep,use a marker , I did it with a rescue rottie I had years ago, because it was cold where I lived, and I didnt like to wait around outside; we had no fence. As soon as the dog started sniffing around, as she started to squat I said " do your business " really fast over and over; it took about 3 weeks of this and she was good to go .

The real challenge is getting the dog to poop on command <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Dogs don't poop as often as they pee so you gotta get your timing and routine down real good <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
I wonder what my neighbors think when I walk around my back yard with my dog before meal time telling him "ga poopen! cujo! poop!"...
But yeah, whenever you know your dog's gotta be, just tell him "go pee" - my boy caught on real fast n it's been the most useful thing I've ever taught him. It means that I don't have to stand around waiting for him to pee if we're about to go somewhere in the truck or stop somewhere for a pee break.
Eh, my older dog can do them seperately. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> If she just pees I just send her back out to poop. Just watch them when you take them out, when you see 'em hunching over to poop say "Poop" and then mark and praise.
Heck, if you go crazy with the marker training, you can have your dog doing just about everything under the sun. This morning my dog unlocked the door by accident. Should I encourage her or not? Knowing how friendly she is, she'll probably let the burglars in, but it'll be damn useful if I ever leave the keys in the house again... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
My dogs go with a simple "outside" command. Seeing a grown man stand around and telling his dog to "go potty" has always been slightly wierd to me. NO MORE!
