I've seen a few past posts asking about clubs in Ontario. Has anybody had any luck finding one around? I am in Ottawa and I'm interested in training again but have not had any luck locating clubs in the (somewhat) nearby area. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
Or...are there any people out there, in the local area, thinking about starting one up? A little food for thought. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

I'm about 45 min south of Ottawa... and always up for training <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />!!
We used to have a club in this area (South Nation River Schutzhund Club <SNRSC> but it closed last year. Perhaps there'll be a new club starting up again someday, but for now its all indipendant training.
You may try contacting Rob & Maureen Muise of Arek-Malinlois. They're in Hallville (just east of Kemptville) and were heavily involved with the SNRSC when it was still in exsistance. If you have a copy of the GSSCC Shepherd Sports mag they are listed in there under the contact info Ontario Clubs. Or you can email me at info@stalworthkennels.com if you like and I can put you in touch with them.
Sure would be great to have some people training around here again <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />.
Surprised and pleased to read your post. We are located between Kingston and Ottawa. Interest in Schutzhund is at the beginning stage. I started something when I presented my 22 yr old son with a puppy from my German and Czech pair. His appetite for Schutzhund training materials is unending. I was wondering where all this energy and fun could lead. Please contact us with any further developements in restarting some competitions in Eastern Ontario. new2nan@aol.com
