I have seen many good trainers/owners realize the dog they have does not have the right temperment to do their selected job and they find a more suitable home. I understand that at some point you should know that no matter how much training certain dogs will not have what it takes.
What about the handler? Are there times where no matter how much training the handler gets they are not gonna make it? I think training is a skill that can be learned to a degree but also an art or trait within an individual. When do you know that regardless of further training the human part of the team does not have it?
I would be especially interested in comments from people that compete or train others in ASR, PSA type sports.
