I was curious as to what goes on with an arangement like this? I heard it for the first time today. If someone leases a dog what are the usual obligations and costs asociated with this type of arrangement?
Well, Triple Crown was leasing dogs to give beginning SchH handlers a chance to handle a finished dog, but I don't know what they were charging for the lease...
Also, the leasing of bitches for breeding is done a bit, but I've never done so, maybe some of the more experienced breeders could give us their experiences here.

I had never heard of Triple Crown until I read your post, so I looked it up, & well, I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. Is this a university for dog trainers? Has anyone been there? (off topic, I know, sorry, ouch)
Previously I have leased a bitch for breeding. A contract is drawn up outling leasee and owners responsibilties; lease fee, who is responsible for veterinary expenses while in leasees care, shipping, etc. If leased for breeding a lease form must be filled out and filed with the AKC so that leasee becomes the litter breeder and owner of record. Of course, there are variations in contracts depending upon what you want out of the deal. Some split the litter, they become co-breeders and or co-owners, in lieu of a cash lease fee. Details of such should be stated in your agreement contract.
I have not leased an animal for reasons other than already stated, so, for that, I defer to whomever has had such experience.
