Training with Alex Beyer this weekend for the seminar, he had this nifty type of prong collar that came together with a sturdy alum. buckle.
It was nice, after you adjusted the amount of links that your needed via a fitting, you could get the collar on and off in a flash.
Here's a link to the style, the site is in German, sorry. http://www.gpberlin.de/start_frame.htm
then click on "dressurkette" listed on the left column.
It worked much better than I thought it would, and the ease of getting it on and off was primo.
Ed!! You gotta carry these!
I love mine. HS makes them. They said to get them from Schweikerts. No US distributor. I have the Ultra, got it from someone who went over to Germany a couple years ago. MUCH better than the old quick releases.

So then there is no way to get it? Can it be ordered from Germany and sent to us here?

...... I tried the web site I found for Dean Calderon and didn't see any equipment at all, but it was just a quick glance.....
Oh! A PM tells me that it's there, all right, near the bottom left of the home page. I was looking for "equipment" or "store," and it's "Schweikert." Duh!
Guess I am mising something here... I thought (and use) the prong collar as a correction tool, not a long term power steering device. How can one deliver a good "pop" of a correction with this collar?
Guess I'm missing your point. I like the collars where the dog can't hear the correction coming. I normally hook my leash up to both rings, so for me this isn't any different. It's a regular collar just without the sliding. It does correct as well as a "normal" collar.
