Well after a hellacious 20 hours of traveling we're back in the states and he is doing fine. I saw some great boxers practicing for this week's qualifications for ATIBOX, the international european working and confirmation championships for Boxers. My little guy is amazing. Full of drive and affection, I'm so excited I don't think I could have found a better puppy anywhere. I think he's going to make a great ASR prospect. He is out of Baghira vom Messingsberg and by Pan Tau of Felix, both descendants of the Von Felix lines. Time to go play a little tug!
Ps. What happened to the other posts in this forum? Do they get archived after a certain amount of time?
Did you get to see Arek v. Klockower Eck? Our club was training with a german helper that spoke highly of this Boxer. Is there ASR in S. Florida? Lots of luck with the pup
I didn't get to see Areck he is from a different area in Germany he is a very nice dog though. He was the ATIBOX working champion last year from the German team. My pup's father was also on the team but he came in I think third because he had an issue outing. He is an extremely high drive dog who excels in protection, maybe a little too much for the VPG.
I'll probably train mostly locally with a ring trainer and then travel for some specific ASR work and trials.
Unfortunately I don't have anywhere to host the pics. I'll sign up for Ofoto or something soon. That should suffice right? I can't upload them from my computer to here can I? Each forum seems to be different.
Thanks Greg I'd definitely like to come and check it out sometime, but I'm not intending him to be a sport dog. I had an IPO3/Sch3 female who was amazing but this dog's main role will be in PP. What club are you with? Is there a website? I always love checking out any working dogs and trying to learn something!
