I'm sure that this is normal.. but.. my pup's littermates 3 of whom I've seen have already began teething and look a bit bigger than my dog. (Size I guess is more of genetics and what the other puppies are being fed). My question is that, I've been supplementing with calcium in order to help with his ears.. a friend of mine noted that his vet told him NOT to give calcium supplements before teething since it makes the "baby teeth" more resistent. Which makes it harder for the adult teeth to pass through.. Any thoughts would be appreciated...
When dogs loose teeth varies from dog to dog. During teething you need to clut them some slack on training. They are like a child that teeths. It hurts and they are uncomfortable for a few weeks.
My GSD is five months going on six and she just barely stopped teething (lost baby teeth but some adult teeth are still coming) and her ears just got erect last thursday. My breeder said this was totally normal and to just wait it out. I did and I didn't supplement at all.

Could the fact that his littermates are on kibble (puppy) have anything to do with their apparent difference in size and growth speed.. Ps my pups ears are standing when he's alert but falling back down.. I'm not too worried.. I will be doing "some drive work" and more Obedience and Tracking...
Ps.. my pup is a Mal.. in case you're wondering.. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
