I have never used an e- collar and am planning on buying one as well as Ed's video. My question is what are ya'lls experiences with them and which one would you reccommend?
Terry
I think there have been many posts on "recommended E-collars".. I don't know about the "newly released collars from Dogtra". But I have the Dogtra 1200 NCP..It's an all round "favorite" according to my personal opinion. More and more people recommend the 1200 Series..
Ed had the 1200 NC and auctioned it off
Maybe Ed can comment on the new e-collars with displays and stuff ..
I am not an expert on the subject but I purchased 2 of the innotek IUT-300. What is nice about these is the AUTOFIT Feature, it tells you by beeping when the collar is making good contact with the dogs skin.

That's awesome, I wish mine did that, half the time it's not making any contact because of his thick fur!
I'm a big fan of the dogtra collars. Price and durability and ease of use.
I don't want to have to look at the transmitter to change types and levels of stimulation. It is a big benefit to be able to use it one handled inside a suit. The 1100's and 1200's work well for this.
I also have a 2000 that is essentially the same thing except it has further range. For the type of work I do it really isn't necessary though but for people working field dogs I can see the benefit.
Tri-tronics collars are also nice and I have used most of their models over the years but they are a bit pricey. The newest models are a bit more compact and ergonomic.
I'm also waiting for Ed to weigh in on the Dogtra 1700NCP that he was trying out. Also, I need the two-dog model. Is this the way to go? I don't think I want to buy two separate collars, but then again, I don't know

I vote Dogtra.
I have a 1202NC (Two dog, no pager model) that I bought right before Dogtra switched to the new models. I have two dogs that were on an Innotek Command Series. After a couple of months with the Dogtra I can say I am much happier with the transmitter set up of the Dogtra.
Just my two cents.
I have the Dogtra 1200NCP and love it. One of my favorite features is the waterproof transmitter and reciever. It is fantastic to have a transmitter that is waterproof so that when I was doing water rescue training exercises with one of my dogs, I could just hook it on my swimsuit and dive in the water
