Does anyone in the UK have an e-collar, specifically a dogtra and if so where did you get it from, how much etc. if you don't mind me asking.
Also I've been trying to find info on the Animal Welfare Bill here and it seems that even using these collars is against the law (according to amendments). Can anyone confirm this for me?

Hi John,
I live in the Manchester, and also have the same problems getting hold of such equipment.
I use a prong on my GSD which I got from the USA. At my club we use Prongs and electric collars on our dogs. I don't think it is against the law and speaking with Mic Martin from the BBC show, he says he sets questions to his junior instructors on the use of equipment such as the electric, so just think they are frowned upon in other areas of dog training (pet training). I know dogtra has got a UK website try that maybe?
I've tried the dogtra website but it's MUCH more expensive than the US version and I have no idea why as it's the same equipment. I'm sure this is just a reseller making a fast buck.
Buy from Ebay.com, then buy a 110 volt transformer ( £6.00 or so). I saved £100 on a Innotek 2 dog system this way, make sure the customs label get filled out for a low value and marked as a gift to avoid import tax and vat.
Might want to try the guy who's kind enough to run this site for us (on his dime!). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Looks like he's got 220V transformers and everything. His sales staff is quite helpful and I'm sure they'll be able to at least point you in the right direction.
