So i was reading the thread about aspirin and was wondering what brand of aspirins are we talking about that are good for dogs (i.e. Tylenol or Advil)?
What other human redemies and meds can you use on dogs?
Tylenol nor Advil are aspirin. One is acetominiphin, the other ibuprofen. Only normal aspirin qualifies like Bayer. I've used benadryl on my senior male as needed. Tea Tree oil for an antiseptic. There are many but this is just a couple.

I don't know what the thread is, but I do know that Tylenol and Advil are not aspirin.
Daniel neither of the two brand-name pain meds that you listed are ASPRIN Tylenol is acetaminophen. Advil is ibuprofen. Don't know dosages for dogs. Ecotrin or Bufferin are asprin.

Sorry, Angela! We posted together......
I'm sorry, I honestly didn't know the differebts between the two, ibuprofen and acidometafine.
I thought it was all called aspirin.
I heard that aspirin comes from a willow tree, so if your dog is sick does that mean you can give it willow tea? (I've heard of this tea so if I'm wrong please have mercy.)
These are all theories of course.
What other thing that we use on humans are safe for dogs?

JMO: No. You have no idea of the dosage of willow bark, right? I know I don't.
JMO: I'd get a book, maybe a Pitcairn or a Rodale press book, and read up on herbal remedies for dogs, and even then I'd be extremely unlikely to treat my sick dog without the vet's OK, unless it was a simple case of diarrhea or a little surface wound.
They seem similar, but they're all VERY different! Please consult with a vet before medicating your dog as there are interactions, dosages, and side effects to consider, to say the least.
