Howdy Folks!
We seem to be having a little problem here with more and more new posters are not displaying their full first and last names.
Now if you peek on the "Administration" threads ( http://www.leerburgkennels.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/138061/an/0/page/0#Post138061 ) , it's clearly spelled out that:
"We have implemented a new policy that requires all users on Leerburg’s Web Board to make their Displayed Name their actual first and last name. We have had problems with users posting messages as other users. To change your displayed name, log in and go to MY PROFILE --> VIEW/UPDATE PROFILE. From there you can change your displayed name to your actual first and last name.
I will give people some time to do this but I will eventually block people from posting who do not make the change. Too often on the Internet people hide behind pseudo names - that goes against my nature (if you have not figured that out yet read some of my articles).
Ed"
So those are the rules straight from the Forum owner.
So, if you've made a little goof and your name is incorrect or if a Moderator has sent you a message that you need to change your name, here's how to go about it:
1) Go to the main page at the start of the forum ( also called the "Main Index" ) and look up to the upper right hand corner of the long gray strip that runs the length of the page. You'll see "My Home" there - please click on that.
2) You'll now see a line in the upper left hand region that says "Welcome *your name*" . Just under that line is another line that runs the full length of the page that says "My Home for *your name*" - go ahead and click on the "My home for *your name*"
3) Now head down to the "Main Configuration" are in the lower left hand area. See the " Personal information, email, password, etc." line? Good! Now look to the right of that line and see the "Edit"? Click on the "Edit"
4) Alright, now scroll down to the box that says "Full Name" ( it's under your "Email" box )
5) Finally..... type in your *real* First and Last name.
There you have it, you've made Ed the forum owner and all the Moderator's happy. Thanks much!

Well unfortunately, when I registered and it asked me for my full name I entered it as Diana Demarest. It would not accept it because it didn't like the space between my first and last name. So I stuck the underscore in so it would accept my application.
If you could get the underscore out, that would be great. <img src="http://www.leerburg.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

My real name is: Carolyn Faber but it would not let me use it so I added my maiden name to it. Perhaps I registered before and forgot my password or perhaps there is another Carolyn Faber as the name is more common in USA than in Canada. However you want me to deal with it, I will cooperate.
Thanks

Hey, I'll take this opportunity to ask.
When I signed up, if I remember correctly, there was a day or so that I had to wait for approval before posting. Is this still the case? I've wondered how someone with out proper first and last name gets through the approval process.

Oh dear, here we go again with me not being able to figure out this web site. And I call myself a computer programmer
1) Go to the main page at the start of the forum ( also called the "Main Index" ) and look up to the upper right hand corner of the long gray strip that runs the length of the page. You'll see "My Home" there - please click on that.
Nope, don't see a "My Home"
2) You'll now see a line in the upper left hand region that says "Welcome *your name*" . Just under that line is another line that runs the full length of the page that says "My Home for *your name*" - go ahead and click on the "My home for *your name*"
I can find "Welcome AnitaGard", and a grey line underneath that line, but there's no "My home..."
3) Now head down to the "Main Configuration" are in the lower left hand area. See the " Personal information, email, password, etc." line? Good! Now look to the right of that line and see the "Edit"? Click on the "Edit"
Couldn't find the previous one, so I don't see an "Edit"
4) Alright, now scroll down to the box that says "Full Name" ( it's under your "Email" box )
Ditto
5) Finally..... type in your *real* First and Last name.
And ditto
Now I did try going to My Stuff...My Profile..., but I don't see anything anywhere on that page that lets me change my real name?! Heck, it doesn't even display my real name anywhere. I am using my real name, but am another one who got caught by the can't-have-a-blank, so I just ran my first and last names together. Can you fix, please, Will?

FYI, I think these instructions were written before they changed the format of the boards, so they may need some new instructions.
