ok now is he just chewing the dirt or really eating it? is he teething does he have anything to chew on a chew toy of some sort if he does you might wanna correct him if he doesn't stop try mixing dirt in a couple of certain area with something really sour bitter take him to those places so he can chew the dirt and relize it taste bad and that just might prevent him from doing it again
Your pup may be lacking some minerals in his diet. Take him out to a farm and let him fill up on some high quality horse manure. Ha Ha they love it! I don't think you need to worry to much.
