What can I give my dog or feed him to stop the bad gas? He does it 3 or 4 times a day and it makes you want to leave the house. I'm pregnant and smells already upset my stomach and his gas will actually make me have to puke. Its gotten just really bad and gross smelling. I haven't changed his diet. Still feeding BARF. Is maybe something wrong with his digestive system? Should I add something to the diet? Can any meds help with this? Please ANY help or advice would be wonderful!!!

What I would do: I would call the vet and ask on the phone (and be ready for comments about raw food), in case some serious ailments present with gas. I would make it clear to the vet that the dog had been on the present diet with no gas, and that there has been a change in the dog's digestion but not in the diet.
Has the dog's exercise decreased? I would increase the dog's exercise, which helps a lot to keep the stool moving along the way it should rather than sitting and fermenting.
While waiting for the vet's call back, I'd add some probiotics to the diet, such as natural plain yogurt with active live cultures.
BUT, if you have changed the ingredients, I would change them back, then gradually re-add each new item, checking for gastric distress.
And if you have added any kind of beans, legumes, or cruciferous vegetables (the broccoli/cabbage family), I would take them back out. I would eliminate soy beans and soy products.

A little apple cider vinegar helped my dog.
Oh, GOOD CALL! I forgot all about that, and I've heard several people recommend it at our training club.
Mike, do you use it every day, or just to get the digestion back on track? I've read and heard people say it's a good addition to the diet, period. My favorite raw site (NJBoxers.com) recommends it, too.
Hi Connie - I don't use it every day but I have noticed that it really helps when my dogs have consumed more RMBs than usual...or whenever they start to stink in general. Most of what I do I've learned from reading this site (reading your posts in particular have helped me on several occasions - thanks! .
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
